The Muhammad Ali Center is a multicultural center with an award-winning museum dedicated to the life of Muhammad Ali. The Center museum captures the inspiration derived from the story of Muhammad Ali’s incredible life and the six core principles that have fueled his journey.
Louisville also features the Kentucky Derby Museum which includes displays relating to the many Black jockeys of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Isaac Murphy was the first jockey to ride three Kentucky winners. Of the first twenty-eight Derby races, fifteen were won by Black jockeys. Another popular attraction on Black history and culture is the Roots 101 African American Museum.
